The Spread Betting School was formed as an adjunct to my other business which provides consultancy services to Spread Betting and Bookmaking companies. I first worked in Spread Betting in 1985.

Over the following 22 years I have worked with, amongst others, City Index, Cantor Index, Finspreads, IFX and Spreadfair. I also have personal contacts with the majority of the other companies.

I have specified, written, implemented and tested trading software. I have invented derivative products and I have been a trader.

My experience leads me to believe that there is a real need for experienced tuition in this field. For example, one Spread Betting company that runs its own courses told me that over 70% of their clients lose money! That raised a serious question for me. Was the teaching designed to make the client lose? Or was it just so bad that the clients couldn’t help but lose?

Either way I thought it was unacceptable. So I’ve devised a course which will teach anyone the basics of spread betting and I’ve made it very affordable. It has been designed to meet upcoming legislation that will require traders to prove their competence.

I also offer workshops and private tuition which may be delivered either by myself or by seasoned trading professionals that I trust. And, please note, we specialise in Spread Betting - not other types of trading.
